Iceland Eclipse reveals its Fourth Contact programming, announcing new artists, speakers, and experiences while expanding the festival to five days, now running August 11-15, 2026 on Iceland’s Snæfellsnes Peninsula.
The expansion begins the evening of August 11 with the new Welcome Ceremony which features an Icelandic elder sharing the mythology of the land alongside Icelandic musicians. Hosted by Unify.org and closing with a music set by AWARË, the evening sets the tone for the days ahead. Due to the remote journey to the peninsula, guests are strongly encouraged to arrive by August 11 to ensure they are present for the total solar eclipse on August 12.

The Eclipse Ceremony will take place in the Cosmic Connection garden, an area of the festival surrounded by majestic trees with a clear view of the sky during the eclipse. More than 15 live musicians and a choir of 30 will guide participants through a 45-minute journey during the eclipse, coordinated alongside a ritual performance drawing on Icelandic mythological traditions. Patrick Kronfli from Unify and Isis Indriya from The Academy of Oracle Arts will host the ceremony. Poranguí, Snow Raven, Tina Rodriguez, Ruby Chase, local Icelandic musicians, and more than 30 ceremonial singers will join together for the performance.
DANCE programming additions include Maribou State (Live), AWARË, Quantic (DJ Set), Freedom Fighters, Desert Hearts, Justin Sloe (Droog), ANNA, Ella Knight, Snow Raven, and more.

The LEARN and CONNECT programming includes astronauts, scientists, technologists, and cultural leaders from organizations including NASA, ESA, Space for Humanity, the United Nations, OpenAI, and the Iceland Space Agency – new additions include Darren Aronofsky, Carl Hayden Smith, Amanda Sage, Brent Pella, Emily Fletcher, and more.
Iceland Eclipse will also introduce Starseeds, a lively realm designed for young explorers and their families. This dedicated zone offers a joyful world of creativity and play, featuring hands-on art workshops, puppet shows, imaginative play spaces, movement and wellness activities, and special performances by festival artists.

Running from July 19 to August 15, 2026, The Portal at Iceland Eclipse brings together artists, technologists, scientists, and innovators in the weeks leading up to the festival. Part innovation residency and part immersive retreat, this month-long gathering invites participants to collaborate on projects inspired by the eclipse and Iceland’s landscape.
Tickets to Iceland Eclipse are still available with a cap of 3,333 participants.
