Belgian techno powerhouse Charlotte de Witte has recently released “The Realm,” the lead single from her highly anticipated self-titled debut album set to drop on November 7th via her own KNTXT imprint.
Despite 15 years in the industry and an impressive 25 EPs to her name, this marks de Witte’s first full-length album—a milestone eagerly awaited by fans and industry insiders alike.
“The Realm” serves as the opening track of the forthcoming album, delivering acid-drenched, muscular techno with hypnotic spoken word vocals inviting listeners to “enter the realm of the unknown.”
In discussing the single, de Witte shared: “‘The Realm’ is a really special track for me. It marks the beginning of a whole new chapter… The lyrics capture the essence of what I believe music can do. Techno has always been about more than just dancing for me. It’s about connection, transcendence and exploration.”
On her debut album, she added: “After 15 years of DJing, traveling, and living life through music, releasing my debut album feels surreal. This album is the most personal project I’ve ever worked on. It’s a reflection of who I am, where I come from, and what continues to drive me: the dancefloor.”
With signature acid-techno synths, commanding kick drums and vocals that transport listeners to another dimension, “The Realm” builds anticipation for the full album in a way that only de Witte can pull off. To truly appreciate this single, it demands festival-sized sound. De Witte will be performing at festivals worldwide this summer, so don’t miss your chance to experience “The Realm” and all your favorites live.
The eleven-track album represents the most personal project of de Witte’s career thus far. “The Realm” is available now on all major streaming platforms, giving fans their first taste of what promises to be one of the most significant techno releases of the year.
